What to expect in Ubud
It’s late November and edging into the wet season so we may well get an hour or so of rain in the mornings to quickly dry up so we can enjoy the day. It will be warm, it will be humid. ATMs are EVERYWHERE in Ubud. There are great markets and really unique shops all around Monkey Forest Road, Jalana Dewisita and Jalan Hanuman (I can direct you if you know what you are looking to find ;-). There are cafes and restaurants galore right outside the wellness centre. You can enjoy lunch onsite Friday + Sunday ~ or venture out and I can recommend a number of places to eat. Saturday we’ll head out to the water temple blessing followed by a lunch. Dinner Friday + Saturday night is as you please, you are more than welcome to join me as I go to my faves each night!
For Yoga classes wear light, comfortable and loose fitting natural fabrics, will slip-off shoes, you may like a sarong or light covering for meditations. Great to have loose, long sleeve coverings and walking shoes for getting around Ubud town centre and on our day trip. Bring your hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellant (take Vitamin B daily if you want to repel insects), pack your meds plus any regular toiletries you need (however chemists with all our favourite items are nearby).
I’ve never had any issues but I am mindful if you are concerned because you have a sensitive belly I suggest taking quality probiotics (like Bioceuticals not needing refrigeration) before and during your visit if you are wanting to stay your best throughout if you’re not used to the food. Some like to bring hydrolytes and Immodium just in case. My top tip is using hand sanitiser especially before and after money handling. BYO water bottle so you can refill each day. Yoga mats and props are supplied, however bring anything you like of your own. Bring a book to read…or visit the awesome bookshops right near our centre.
On Monday 24th we can checkout 11.00am but you are welcome to stay and use the facilities if you are needing transport to the airport for a later flight we can go together as I will be departing 11pm Monday flight also. If you are keen to explore elsewhere in Bali please don’t hesitate to ask for my recommendations on transport or where to stay and go.
Enjoy! So looking forward to sharing this time in Ubud with you!
