What are your best winter moves?

There is no other time of the year where it is more important to keep moving than in winter ~ perhaps a little extra warm unctuous food needs help moving through our system, boost of the lymph system for detoxing those extra teas, coffees, treats and mulled wine by the fire PLUS heating up muscles gets the metabolism and circulatory system going plus keeps us warm! Muscles and joints are more prone to injury when it’s cold. Unfortunately sitting still is the last thing we should be doing, however tempting it is to wrap up and snug up, even if it’s just 20mins at the beginning of each day it will make the world of difference physically and mentally.

This Ayurvedic season of winter is when Kapha can show up as out of balance ~ symptoms your Kapha Dosha is out of balance; mucous, congestion, weight gain, fluid retention, allergies, weight gain, sleep excessively, asthma, diabetes, emotional, lack of motivation, procrastination, indecisiveness, heavy moods and depression. To keep our Kapha in check we must move every day and have a regular routine with no excuses.
