So many think that breathing just happens (I know I did until I learnt how to do it well and it changed everything!), yet it can be done poorly and effects the mind and body's physiology and have a profound impact on our lives on a whole. The awesome thing is, then by adjusting it and doing it well it has a profound impact on our mind, body and lives as well! It is such an underestimated tool we have for impacting all the systems in the body and the mind. And it's FREE!
Why does the way we breathe matter? What actually is deep breathing/belly breathing? my translation is actually a ‘low wide breath’ rather than ‘big’ and ‘deep’.
