One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is when I get to see the look on a Yogis face when they ‘got it' ~ they felt the difference of that single micro adjustment, or the immediate relief from persistent + long term pain by correcting the way they stand or functionally move, or they’ve learnt a better way of doing the pose for their body type…..or my favourite is when they come out of a Yin pose or meditation with a ‘Yoga stoned face’ after walking in looking like a startled starfish. Each time I remember I have the best job ever!

The challenge with a group class, workshop, or online session is there’s little or no chance for feedback with your teacher, in vocalising what you are feeling or noticed or asking questions. I have seen students have just one private session forever transform their self-awareness and ongoing practice. Having a teacher personalise the way you are practising is life changing, it was for me 20 years ago and I benefit from the gifts still to this day.

I am passionate about my students having this same experience of ultimate self-awareness on their journey of Yoga ~ I realised this when I first started teaching 17 years ago sometimes just one person would turn up to a class (as an introvert I was secretly pleased) and getting to work with them one-to-one was so transformative for them, so rewarding for me, as I watched their practice improve with every class thereon. It would be fair to say each of those students have remained with me all this time and are the ones most benefiting from and enjoying the online Yoga studio.

This last year has been different for me in that I have moved away from teaching a regular weekly timetable of 7-10 classes per week to now supporting my students from online and one-to-one ~ with all that has happened over the last year there was definitely an increase in the need for more personalised private sessions. I find it so rewarding to be able to provide these life changing and life-long tools for my students to become stronger and more resilient.

Who would benefit from a Private one-to-one Session;
do you have an injury or condition that may inhibit your ability, fitness or movement? (click here for a list) - I specialise and have experienced profound results in myself and my students in rehabilitation of lower back, sacra-iliac dysfunction, knee and hip problems, shoulders, wrists and neck. Perhaps your doctor has advised not to do Yoga….but I can help you do the Yoga that is totally safe for your condition. Yoga is more about breathing not handstands.
